In the middle of November 2016 it was announced that Amazon.de now offer free shipping on orders of 39 Euro or more to nations such as Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic. It is a requirement that you order has to extend 39 Euro, but this principle is also used by companies in Slovakia, so that is not strange. You should however pay attention to the fact that this free shipping only works for orders that are shipped by Amazon.de.
If you visit Amazon.de and find a product that you like, then you must look for the following sentence: “Dispatched from and sold by Amazon.”
If the product is dispatched by some other company then it will not be available with the free shipping. But, most products on Amazon.de are dispatched by Amazon.de as well, but keep this in mind.

This is not true any more, just placed an order for 70 EUR and still had to pay 8,49 EUR Delivery and Handling fee.. What a nonsense, it’s cheaper to order to Czech Republic or to Hungary while we have a huge Amazon store in Slovakia. Great service Amazon! 🙁
It depends on what you order. If it is delivered directly from Amazon, then it still works, but if your package is delivered from some other company than Amazon, then it doesn’t work.

Well, you seem to be completely correct… no clue why they added the shipping cost to that!
Hello Nik, I was just dealing with the CS regarding delivery costs to SK last evening. Amazon.de changed delivery policy last month and all deliveries to SK are no more free of charge. CZ, AT, NL, Scandinavia etc. still for free but SK no more. It is pretty much frustrating so I sent a complaint via CS… Maybe we all could send our feedbacks to Amazon.de…
